Description
You are looking at a fabulous original pencil drawing of a harbor scene by the well-known California artist Paul Grimm, stemming from the early – mid 1900s. Paul Grimm (1892-1974) was a California artist who lived and operated a gallery in Palm Springs, California. He is known for his desert landscapes, missions, dunes and portraits in oil, as well as his pencil/charcoal drawings. He is well-listed in Hughes, Samuels and Dawdy, among others. Paul Grimm is a recognized member of the community of California Plein Air artists, and his works have become increasingly collectible. The image measures about 11 x 17 inches in height and width, and it comes unframed. As shown in our photos, this image presents a harbor scene in what appears to be a European port. It is a superb pencil drawing, executed in masterful detail and spatial perspective and with very subtle accents of coloration. Also as shown in pix 2, it is signed P. Grimm in the lower left margin. This vintage pencil drawing is in excellent condition, with no tears, rips, smudging, discolorations or repairs. Paul Grimm continues to gain in recognition, and this is a very representative drawing of his travels in Europe. Please also see my companion listings of other works of fine art. Payment & Shipping The winning bidder will receive my invoice on the PayPal format, normally generated and sent within 2-3 hours of the item’s close. I gratefully accept PayPal, money orders and personal checks. I appreciate receiving payment within seven (7) days of e-mail receipt of the invoice. I ship upon notice of payment by PayPal or receipt of money order, or after personal check clears my bank, but in no event later than on the following business day. I normally ship by USPS Priority Mail within the US and by USPS Priority Mail International to international destinations. Regarding S & H, I never charge “handling fees”. I only charge actual postage and tracking fees, plus actual charges for insurance coverage in the amount of the final sale price (rounded to next available bracket). With the best of intentions and total integrity in invoicing, there are sometimes differences between the actual S & H charges and the amounts previously invoiced (usually small and owing to extra insulation). I routinely absorb any undercharges as part of my cost. If I overcharge and the amount is significant in relation to total S & H, I notify the customer and offer to refund the S & H overcharge. Communications I advise my buyer by e-mail at every step of the transaction, starting with the comments section of the invoice. I acknowledge receipt of the notification of payment by PayPal (or receipt of mailed check/money order) and advise the exact shipping date. I send a confirming e-mail with the shipping and tracking information on the day of the parcel’s dispatch. That’s my duty and responsibility as seller, but it’s also my privilege and pleasure. Please don’t hesitate to e-mail me with any of your questions and expect a prompt reply. I appreciate questions from potential customers and answer them forthrightly, timely and courteously. I encourage inquiries during the bid period regarding estimated S & H charges to specified zip codes in the US or to international country destinations. I provide estimated shipping quotes and stand behind them. Customer Care I greatly value your potential patronage and will at all times strive to meet or exceed your expectations in all aspects of any transaction. My policy on returns/refunds is guided by my commitment to total customer satisfaction: although I do not expect it in the normal course, if, upon receipt, you have any concerns at all about the item you purchased, please notify me immediately. First, I ask no questions in those rare cases when a customer so notifies me, and, secondly, I strictly and timely do exactly what my customer directs me to do. This could result in a partial refund in an amount mutually agreed to, with the customer keeping the item. If the customer does not want to receive a partial refund, I offer to make a complete refund of the full invoiced amount (sale price, plus S & H) upon return of the item. Thank you for your interest & bid with total confidence. Please check my feedback.
