Please google  Barry Mc Carthy for research info. The picture is signed B. Mc Carthy, and the  cardboard behind  the picture has written on the back  "Chief Dan George, 1971, By Barry Mc Carthy, Artist, 245 Bridge St., Fergus, Ont.". The smear effect is on the glass over the picture. It appears to be done in pastel oils. The visible part of the painting in the frame is about 23.5 X 17 inches. The frame is wood.  There is a chain at the back for hanging. The tape, holding the picture and backing in, has dried out. The picture would have to be picked up, or be packed and go by Purolator with insurance. I sell nice things at reasonable prices! Keep my name handy!
