His portrayal of the West is not as a romantic adventure but as a realistic challenge. His magnificent art portrays the human spirit, paying tribute to the trailblazers - those largely forgotten and unsung heroes, the North American trappers of the early 1800s.  His art celebrates their quiet courage and rugged dignity amid the frontier wilderness.  He paints man in relation to his environment, moments when man pauses, alone, to consider his surroundings.  His painstaking attention to detail involves hours of research, collecting historic artifacts and retracing the footsteps of his subjects, all before committing the scene to pencil on paper or oil on panel. Originally purchased in 2001, this hand-signed limited edition print (Number 107 of 950) measures 24" x 36" with the overall framed art measuring 32" x 42".  The print was purchased separately at a retail value of $195, and framed within a month of purchase.  Total cost of print with matte and framing was $390.                                                           All frame work was completed by "The Wooden Indian" in Visalia, CA.  The back cover contains the sleeve in which the print was stored.  The glass is premium non-glare and a mounting wire is attached to the back of the frame. The print is framed with a double matte (Camel Felt top lay & Sierra Green inlay) style and a handcrafted 2" cherry frame.                                                    Overall condition of the artwork is EXCELLENT! (No frame wear...ie, no dents, nicks). This beautiful piece of art compliments a home that emulates a rustic mountain lifestyle and makes a wonderful mantle piece above a rock laid fireplace!
