It is inspired, as its title suggests, by the colours & light I experienced while finding locations for 'Watercolour Challenge' (a TV show made a few years ago) at Powerscourt Waterfall which is in the 'demense' at Powerscourt, Eniskerry, County Wicklow, Ireland. It is owned by the Slazenger family & reputed to be the "highest waterfall in Ireland" - but I can not vouch for the truth of this assertion:) I create these embroidered pictures as aids to meditation, whether you practice this as a form of relaxation, to lift you to a higher spiritual plane or just to enjoy a beautiful landscape, my aim as an artist is to make that experience unique. Powerscourt Waterfall has been framed with glass to protect the delicate work with silk fragments making up the water. I am both artist and reiki healer, beginning my art training at Loughborough College of Art and continuing at St Martins School of Art in London. My healing now forms an integral part of all my work, including my art. I have exhibited locally in many exhibitions and sell my work directly to the public in some unusual places, including night clubs.
