Most of his work is figural and depicts the loa or gods of Haitian voudun. This charming painting, however, is of birds nesting among beautiful orange and yellow tulip-like flowers growing out of a colorful and highly decorated planter. The vivid colors are sharp and clear, and the work is carefully executed. The painting, in acrylic on board, measures 20" x 24". It is handsomely framed, with a cream-colored linen fillet inside a gilded wooden frame. With the frame, the painting measures 22" x 26".
