I've been told by so many people, that it looks better than the one in the museum. If you like Rembrandt, and you want an oil painting that is as close to the one in the museum. Here it is! What I say about this painting isn't really going to matter, because without any written documentation to clarify it's age, I only have the opinions of people claiming to be experts, They all have felt it to be of that era. I've been told it was brilliant,  a student or someone close to Rembrandt maybe. The canvas is very thin and fragile. The very thick oil is the only thing that has kept it together all these years, horse hair and all.  It's being secured by a newer canvas. It was not professional done, that's why you see some rippling. It is very costly to have tested and documented, in which I am sorry to say, I can't afford. I don't think you have to be an expert to see how old or great it is. However, It's what you think that counts. If you have any questions, I will answer them the best I can.   The picture is 16 1/2 in. x 14 in.
