Please read below for a brief history about this collection...  "SPIRIT OF SPORT" Six Sports Legends To commemorate the 15th Anniversary Year of the Special Olympics, six world reknown athletes were chosen: Wilt Chamberlain, Joe DiMaggio, (Edson) Pele, Frank Grifford, Chris Evert and Jack Nicklaus. Noted American artist, Bob Peak, asked these athletes to express their personal feelings on the true meaning of sport, and translated each athlete's words into art, creating six beautiful and meaningful lithographs on the "Spirit of Sport" as well as six poems. Each lithograph is signed by the depicted athlete, hand numbered to 300 and signed by the artist Bob Peak. A unique perspective on sports from some past greats. Signed in a rich, bold pencil signature. This complete collection is number 91/300. Again, there are six(6) color Lithographs, all signed by athlete & artist, then numbered. Each example is on papier d' Arches, and carries the embossed seal of Atelier Ettenger. With each litho comes a separate page with the athlete's quote, followed by Peak's written interpretation. We won't even attempt to express through words the artistic beauty and sense of empowerment each lithograph exudes. Please take your time in viewing our detailed photographs, to admire them for yourself.     Dimensions:  Each lithograph and page measures 36" x 27"   Condition: All of the Lithographs are in excellent condition. We found a few smudge marks on the perimeter of several of the written pages. The box shows minimal wear, just a few scuffs here and there from storage.
