(Born 1923) Semyachkin, P.S. was born in 1923 in Siberia in the city of Omsk. In 1945 entered Saratov Art College. After his study was over he moved to Moscow and in 1947 he entered Surikov Art Institute*. Studied under the attention of Professor E.E. Ryazhsky. Finished extra department specializing in Stankovaya Art. In 1953 Semyachkin, P.S. was awarded by being a Master of Art. Since 1950 had been involved in Art Exhibition of Moscow Painters. On the Exhibition titled “Moscow-Is The Capital of USSR” his work In Child World took a lot of attention. On the exhibition Soviet Russia* his work Got Mail took first place in the category of Northern Thematic. Semyachkin traveled a lot, especially to his native town-Omsk. Omks expire him to create paintings about Labor and farmer life. The huge collections of his artworks were dedicated to beautiful and Strong Russian Nature as well as Northern Land, countryside landscapes, and seascapes on Kavkaz theme. Semyachkin is the artist of wide diapason. He created a series of industrial paintings and posters. In Exhibition of “Siberia”, “Zerno” and “Veterinary and Zoo techniques”. In 1958 Semyachkin became a Member of Artist’s Union in RSFSR (USSR). Had been actively involved in life of Soviet painters. Worked under request of government creating series of Soviet Political Persons of USSR such as Lenin Kuibyushev, Frunze, and Gorky. His works can be founded almost in every museum of Russia. In 1964 was recommended by Artist’s Union and took position to be a teacher in prestigious Art University named after Lenin. In 1997 Artist took place in Exhibition of “Moscow Painters” in US in White House, where he exhibited his works: On Manezh Square, Evening, Siberia House, Faded, and others. Semyachkin, P.S. was awarded by multiple prizes from government for active and successful Art Road and for historically importance of Soviet Culture. The works of the Artist, Semyachkin, P.S are now in private collections in Italy, England, Germany and the United States. The works of Semyachkin are sold in the auctions all over the world. Semyachkin, P.S. is listed in the Dictionary of Twentieth Century Russian and Soviet Painters 1900-1980 by the Britain Scholar Matthew Cullerne Bown. Explanation of terms: Surikov Art InstituteMoscow State Art Institute (MGKhI) named after the painter V.I.Surikov. Formed in 1948. Subordinate to the Academy of Arts of the USSR. One of two main art institutes in the country: (the other one is Repin Art Institute in Leningrad). Soviet Russia An exhibition held in Moscow in 1960 to celebrate the formation of the Russian Artists' Union.
