Description
I am an artist specializing in black & white protraits. I am putting my Ted WIlliams original up for grabs here on ebay. This original is valued over $20K at www.art-exhange.com. This exquisite original art signed by Ted Williams was created utilizing the pointillism method(also known as dot-art). The multi-imaged artwork depicts Williams in his prime and glorious years as a professional baseball player with the Red Sox. It is 20"x30" in size and 26"x38" matted & framed. It is authenticated by Ted Williams Family Enterprises, James Spence Authentication and also by the artist. The signature is also notarized by Constance Aldridge, Notary Public. It is truly an exquisite collectors item. An additional 3-picture framed set of Ted Williams signing the artwork himself is included. The frame is a black "box frame " which is 1.5" in depth. The matting is a gray foam core which gives the artwork a depth perception. The 3-picture frame is framed with a black frame and gray matting. Each frame is hinted with a red line around the perimeter. Stippling (also known as Dot-Art) in an art technique related to the historical school of "pointillism" that was pioneered in the late 19th century by french artist Georges Pierre Suerat. Stippling is a painstakingly slow process of drawing, as hundreds of thousands of dots must be applied in order to create the imagery. Mastering this technique requires extreme skill, patience and expertise. There is no shading in the drawing, therefore, the illusion of grays are made up of varying densities (layers) of dots. From a few inches away, the finished piece of art looks like a cluster of dots, on the other hand when viewed a few feet back, the piece looks extremely realistic and strikingly artistic. Pointillism is truly one of the most fascinating art techniques today! Any questions, let me know. Shipping insurance is included. If you would like to discuss the price, let me know. Good luck and bid with confidence.
