Description
This beautiful limited edition original serigraph by the super and sensitive California artist CHRISTINE ROSAMOND is one of the rarest of her signed and numbered pieces, VICTORIA. Retail is in EXCESS of $11,000 and for good reason. Having passed tragically in 1994, this is one of her early works and many but not all say it's possibly her best. It's not even to be found on the extensive website of her OWN PUBLISHER @ ROSAMOND.COM either as a signed and numbered piece as this one is OR as a lithographed poster that potentially millions could own and treasure. It SHOULD be produced as a poster, but the only way you can own this truly sensitive and haunting image of a woman is to buy this special and large signed and numbered print from over 30 years ago. I have been reliably informed that this piece last sold on ebay for $7654.00 at least three years ago, and it has appreciated since then. SHE WAS THE MOST PUBLISHED ARTIST OF THE WORLD UNTIL SHE PASSED TRAGICALLY. THIS IS HER BEST PIECE. IT'S SOLD FOR MORE THAN THIS IN THE PAST, BEFORE OUR PRESENT INFLATION. IT'S IN PERFECT CONDITION AND COMING FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER IN A WELL MADE AND COLOR COORDINATED MATS AND FRAME . This extremely fine artwork was professionally museum framed and mounted using acid free materials, double matted using a very light green cloth and chocolate brown shades from the painting, and in a brushed and textured wood frame that is in excellent condition and timeless in design. Both the frame and artwork look a lot better than my low resolution digital photos do! This extraordinary original artwork looks equally good in a residential, office, dining room or club setting. The well centered image measures 15" by 21", but the artist is known for her extraordinary use of blank space, thus the print is larger than 24" by 33" and framed, it's 30 3/8" by 38 1/4". This serigraph is in truly PRIME condition with no yellowing, cracking, tears or other condition problems. The rare pencil signature of Rosamond is boldly executed using pencil and the print is numbered 62 of only 300. The embossed symbols of the publisher are plainly visible in the bottom left hand corner. More about Christine Rosamond can be learned at these fine websites: http://winemaking.jackkeller.net/rosamond.asp http://www.hilliardgallery.com/artistdetail.php?artistID=23 http://www.rosamond.com but there are NO signed and numbered serigraphs of this image available anywhere on the internet as far as I can see. ________________________________________________________________________________This piece is 100 percent guaranteed to be authentic as I bought it new over 30 years ago.========================================================================= This artwork, like the others I'm offering, would make an excellent investment for the future or a truly first class birthday or wedding anniversary gift. It's available in Los Angeles to qualified bidders for viewing in person by appointment, and pick up is free or crating and shipping are available at cost. Please ask any questions you might have? You may email me with any questions. Payment Instructions: Your choice of Cash paid in person, Money Order or Paypal are completely acceptable, but if using paypal, please let me know in advance. Even your check is acceptable so long as you don't mind waiting for it to clear. I prefer to sell it and ship it framed as I did such a good job of framing it 30 years ago and I wouldn't want to damage your print removing it from the frame. I have two signed and numbered LeRoy Neiman serigraphs available, FOUR JOCKEYS which is pictured below. Also available in another concurrent auction is the large and remarkable, totally rare original acrylic painting by Ray Hare: LOLLIPOPS. It's seen below as the FIFTH photo. The last photo shows my cat chowing down on some tasty chicken Pad Thai noodles. I had no idea cats would eat noodles. Individually, these are all Modern and Contemporary, Pop and Classic works of art. Together, they make a great statement of the economic viability and lasting value that exists in 1970's artworks.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^A 10% portion of the proceeds of this sale will EACH be given to Doctors Without Borders and to a Rastafarian school in Sashamane, Ethiopia that educates and feeds both Rastafarian and Ethiopian students.^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Sincere THANKS and blessings for looking at and bidding on this wonderful SIGNED work of art by the world famous female artist, CHRISTINE ROSAMOND.
