This vintage 1875 albumen print was contact-printed directly from Hillers's original wet plate collodion glass negative. Fine condition with rich tonality and sharpness. Emulsion surface is near perfect. Period pen inscription (quite possibly in Hillers's own hand) reads, Ha-ku-kas-kit, Photo by Hillers. Large 9.50 x 7.50 inch print on 15 x 13 inch gold-bordered gray government mount. Recent auction records show similar Hillers Indian prints realizing up to $1900-2500.
