It is made from real malachite, onyx, & gold, professionally framed in a silver leaf shadow box frame. Dreesmann successfully exhibited all around the world and wrote countless books on embroidery & related subjects. The precious and semi precious stones are all set in gold and were cut to her specifications, drilled and or set so that the could be stitched on the background material,which was woven especially for her in Italy. It is in very good condition and measures overall 9.75" x 8.5" and 2" deep.
