WOW, how cool is the black background and red and white contrasting colors?! This is a very nicely done gravel mosaic art, and not in a design I've seen before. I am guessing that this was designed by the person who created it, rather than using a pattern. I love the way the black gravel wraps around the edges of the board, creating a frame of sorts. The condition is really nice for its age--and certainly a unique design in these colors. It shows some of its age in the small areas where the gravel has fallen off, but is not detracting at all. You don't notice this in casual inspection. It would benefit from being dusted in the nooks and crannies with compressed air, but shows nicely as it is. Very fun example of 1950s gravel art. Colors are strong and bright. It's done on board, so it's obviously very heavy. Will be securely packed for safe delivery--just read my feedback from past sales of paintings.
