Description  This is a very small but beautiful drawing made by the great Cuban Master Wifredo Lam. It was a personal gift by the artist to the person who brought it from Cuba in 1996 and since then it in his possession. Buyer gets the original paperwork from the Cuban authorities, not a photocopy. I hope the text is readable in the picture but basically the certificate of export states the title, size, medium and a small description of the artwork (Figure with wings, horns, breast and long hair) and that the work belongs to his family. The certificate is dated 1996 and its stamped and signed. The drawing measures 5.75x 7.75 inches (14x20cm approx). The paper is very fragile and was taken out of a protective cover only for the pictures. Will be shipped flat and protected with heavy duty cardboard but I do required insurance on this wonderful piece.As requested, I will provide a letter of provenance from the owner. The picture is from a faxed copy. The buyer will receive the original signed letter. The letter is in Spanish (he is old and doesn't know English) and translate more or less like this: My name is Daniel Campos, I worked at the Presidential Palace, now Museum of the Revolution from 1957 to 1968. I met Lam there and worked as his help while painting a mural. This drawing was done while we were having lunch on the floor and give to me as a gift of affection. Place a Bid!
