(Scroll Down To See All Photos) Original VERY RARE circa 1780 - 1800 Welsh Mahogany Georgian Period Pewter Cupboard with spoon racks and tear drop brass pulls.  Hand made by a Blacksmith rosette nails and much more. A very, very beautiful diminutive cupboard that was originally a table cupboard that sat on the end of the dining table for easy access to the table setting of pewter.  It can now be hung on your wall as well.   8 LITES.  Solid Mahogany wood, this cupboard was made in Wales.  37" tall X 23 1/4" wide X 10 1/4" deep, it had two removable shelves inside.  The interior was repainted in salmon color some time ago.  Rosette hand made nails and other later added.  It features a FULLY DOVETAILED CASE and has tear drop period brass pulls and escutcheon on the drawer.  Front board on the drawer are not dovetailed, however, the backs are.  The door lifts off of pin hinges that are also original and the old bubble glass that appears to be original but can't tell for sure.  It's old, that is for sure.  Broken arch pediment with dentil molding design is quite unusual.  It has one small piece of the dentil blocks missing that doesn't really detract.  Some very old powder post holes on the base mostly on one end and some on the back boards.  Nothing active.  This was a table cupboard when originally made.  You just don't find this type of 18th Century original cupboard these days.  They are quite rare and they don't get any better than this one.  It's worth a lot more than our reduced price.  ESTIMATED RETAIL VALUE:  $3,500  SHIPS UPS OVERSIZE PACKAGE RATE plus heavy duty professional packaging by shipping company.           FULLY DOVETAILED CASE                     HAND MADE BY BLACKSMITH ROSETTE (ROSE HEAD) NAILS IN DRAWER LOCK ABOVE.        ROSETTE MADE BY BLACKSMITH NAIL IN DRAWER BOTTOM      You can hang this cupboard from a wall or use it as it was originally; as a table cupboard for the pewter.         ****************************************************************************************************** FOR LARGER ITEMS, We have several options for shipping:   Inexpensive blanket wrap direct delivery service is available to most areas of the continental USA.  Blanket wrap delivery is a lot less expensive than regular commercial truck LTL, however if you can't wait and are in a hurry please let us know because blanket wrap sometimes takes a bit longer for delivery.  It might be 4 - 6 weeks or longer depending on where you are located.  Every item we have ever sold has arrived in perfect condition.  You can find your own blanket wrap delivery service or shipper on www.uship.com or we will try to find one for you after the auction is completed.  Send us payment for your bid amount within two days of auction end.   Uship.com usually takes a few days to finalize shipping arrangements but it's often quite inexpensive.  The second alternative is our regular commercial carrier insured shipping plus professional packaging by shipping company as required by the carrier.   We will get a quote for you if you like.  If you are within driving distance to either Telford, PA 18969 or Adamstown, PA 19501, you're certainly welcome to come and pick it up in person.   For smaller packages, we use UPS up to 165" maximum girth box limit.   We offer credit card payments through PayPal.
