Description
here it is....the weirdest disney story of the day. this painting was purchased years ago at a yard sale in orange county. it was expertised, and it took the fbi to get it returned from the expert who could not authenticate it but wanted a 50% cut... i cryogenically removed the thick orange urethane glaze myself. i fixed a small hole left by the highly successful operation (ya, done in alaska @ -30f) the fix is awesome, can't even see where it is today. so i have seen the pink underpaint used in skies by barks, and if you don't believe it, you pay for it and i will remove a section of sky to prove that it is authentic, no print at all, beyond doubt. (relax, i can prove it to you with just a cursory examinatin as the threads of the warp of the canvas determine the paint lines of the creation. they still do not have a printer that can leave paint on the apexes of canvas weave. it is just that simple. this had to be done by hand (check the glare shots done to show this) who would replicate a couple hundred dollar painting? so it must have been done by barks. and we can see from the back hardboard picture with the urethane drool, that it is no recent work (the urethane shows the approximate age of the piece) the urethane was left from the cryogenic process. this painting was buried in urethane for years. who would have imagined that if one were to freeze urethane coatings and smack the hardboard on its edge it would shatter the coating and cleave it from the crystal clear surface added by barks himself, without seriously damaging the painting? i would have. i did. it worked, and the world has one more example of barks work to appreciate. i am no fraudster, yet i see that fraud in the barks community is rampant, especially those who would deride a barks painting. you will know them when they make statements about what they have not seen. here it is this is no joke, i assure you. it is 16 X 20. the pics show much. thank you to the many who have helped me identify this barks painting through the websites and guidance offered. thanks to a compatriot of mr barks, i have been able to identify this piece as money lake #3.  the condition is not pristine. it has faded a bit, and it has been repaired. however, the presentation is outstanding considering the trauma it has withstood over the years. (coated with urethane) this is the last time it will be for sale at this price. i will relist it with new clearer pics should it not sell. thanks for looking. if you choose to return the painting within 3 days after you buy it, you will be assessed a 10% fee. bc
