Artist is Forbes, signed and dated. I bought this at an auction barn sometime in 80's.  I can't remember exact time.  There is a 3/4" tear. I have taped in back. You can see tear in photo. This is a wonderful serene painting. You can sense the smell of the pasture and feel a very soft breeze, and maybe the sound of horses slowly moving and their mane being swished as one tosses its head. I doubt the frame is the one meant to be  used. Certainly not old enough, & does not fit this picture. I never hung this & if I had I would add a suitable frame. The size is 23" x 15". That is counting the frame. Deduct 1" and that is size of mounted canvas on its frame. Great picture for the outdoors man or lady.   Place a Bid!
